About this position


  • Lead on design, implementation, reporting and reviewing of the strategic and operational sales plans to drive sales and revenue in line with our companies international strategy

  • Research and set up sales opportunities in new territories

  • Building effective sales road maps which include sales goals and milestones, strategy, workflow, action items and sales tactics, lead generation, identification of high impact deals, retention and churn as well as sales administrative functions

  • Develop strategic selling competence that enables our company to take current and new products to the market in partnership with customers

  • The candidate will be responsible for all operations required to execute on the above. This includes: 

  1. Working on sales platforms and systems including CRM (Salesforce)

  2. Extracting meaningful data for business insights and improved strategy

  3. Creating, maintaining and extending relationships with both existing and potential customers

  4. Utilise personal contacts, networks and relationships to grow and develop the sales function

  • Set policies, processes & procedures for sales division

  • Continually develop and monitor accurate KPIs, budgets and targets to ensure optimum efficiency and productivity

  • Drive the business’s sales teams to ensure they are appropriately motivated, trained and capable of meeting sales targets and can carry out duties to the required standards. This includes managing productivity, quality, personal development and impact on KPIs

  • Provide strategic sales guidance to the companies founding partners and board

  • Design and implement monitoring & reporting of performance of sales function, and the undertaking of remedial action where necessary

  • Develop and control the budget & reporting for the sales function to ensure that all financial targets are met and that necessary financial controls are in place to comply with company and regulatory requirements

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and other relevant bodies to ensure that the company’s maximum sales potential is attained

  • Maintain an awareness of the market, technology and techniques to ensure that the business maintains and develops its competitive position

● Education: Relevant Bachelors Degree in Commerce related fields

● Experience: At least 10 years in a similar leadership role. Start-up experience will be an added advantage.
