A phonics course prepared by a primary English expert that offers a fun introduction to listening, speaking and reading English. This course prepares students for the primary courses by improving English literacy where they need it.
CambriLearn offers the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science aligned to the British curriculum for this primary stage. We touch on aspects of many other subjects (such as History and Geography), and the course ends with a progression test.
Our two foundation years begin the high school journey and cover Stages (or Grades) 7, 8 and 9. At this level, CambriLearn offers courses aligned with the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science. Foundation courses end with the student writing an exam at any time of the year, when the student is ready.
When your child enrols for our IGCSE phase, they’re registering for Grades 10 and 11. They’ll need to take a minimum of five subjects and retain an average of at least 60% or more for each subject. Some subjects, such as Maths and English (and a second language if you’re based in South Africa), are compulsory.
When your child enrols for our AS Level, they’re registering for Grade 12. They’ll need to take a minimum of four subjects and retain an average of at least 50% or more for each subject. English is compulsory (as well as a second language if you’re based in South Africa).
When your child enrols for our A Level, they’re registering for Grade/Year 13. A Level is a two-year course with internationally recognised examinations your child will write at age 18. At CambriLearn the first year is covered in the AS Level courses and the second year is covered in the A Level courses.
This assessment process is targeted towards Grade 9 students who are deciding which subjects to take in Grade 10, and for students who are considering pursuing their A levels. The assessment consists of scientific tools that assist learners in selecting the most suitable subjects based on their ability, interest, and personality.
This assessment process is available for students in their final two years of school (i.e. Grade 11 and Grade 12; O level, AS and A level students). By using several scientific tools, the process helps the student make several choices by exploring how a variety of personal attributes impacts upon their potential success and satisfaction within various career options and work environments.
